Kale Crisps with Honest Goodness.

They are a really delicious and nutritious way to eat kale.  I don’t love kalekale_crisps but know I should eat it more as it is incredibly nutritious.  These taste really good, are crisp to bite and don’t taste of kale.  I find them really good to beating cravings or when you want a treat but don’t want to eat crap!  They make a great healthy snack.

Kale is one of the healthiest foods you can eat as it is packed full of a variety of nutrients like vitamin A, K, E, B, Iron, Copper and Magnesium.  What benefits does it bring to our diet?  Firstly Kale has 12 different phytonutrients which specifically help fight inflammation and cancer. Secondly, the antioxidant nutrients to prevent cell damage which leads to aging.  Thirdly, the vitamin K for healthy bones. Fourthly, is low in calories, high in fiber, low in fat.  Since it is such a powerhouse I love to find new ways to include it.

So back to Kale Crisps.  Well they are really quick and easy to make and only need a few ingredients.  I love to make Kale Crisps with chilli flakes and salt.

  6. Bake until the edges are brown but not burnt, about 7 to 10 minutes depending on your oven!
